1. Introduction
This Shipping Policy explains how Products ordered through www.goldenmaskdetectors.com ("Website") are processed, dispatched and delivered.
This Shipping Policy forms an integral part of the Terms and Conditions of Sale and should be read together with those Terms.
By placing an Order through the Website, the Customer acknowledges that they have read and understood this Shipping Policy.
Unless otherwise defined herein, capitalised terms have the meanings assigned to them in the Terms and Conditions of Sale.
2. Shipping Destinations
We ship Products to most countries worldwide.
The countries available during checkout represent the destinations to which we normally offer delivery.
The Seller reserves the right to refuse or cancel an Order where shipment is prohibited or restricted by:
• applicable laws or regulations;
• export control requirements;
• sanctions or trade restrictions;
• transport safety regulations;
• carrier limitations; or
• circumstances making delivery impossible or commercially unreasonable.
Where shipment cannot be completed after an Order has been placed, the Customer will be informed without undue delay and any amount paid for the unavailable shipment or affected Products will be refunded where required.
3. Order Processing
Orders are processed during our normal business hours on Working Days.
Following receipt of an Order, we perform a number of verification procedures before dispatch, which may include:
• payment verification;
• stock availability verification;
• fraud prevention checks;
• export compliance verification;
• verification of delivery information;
• verification of Customer details where reasonably necessary.
Where additional information is required, Order processing may be suspended until the requested information has been received.
An Order is considered ready for dispatch only after all necessary verification procedures have been successfully completed.
4. Dispatch Times
"Dispatch" means the transfer of the shipment from the Seller to the selected carrier.
Estimated dispatch times displayed on the Website are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute guaranteed dispatch commitments unless expressly agreed in writing.
We aim to dispatch all in-stock Products as quickly as reasonably practicable.
Dispatch may occasionally be delayed due to:
• temporary stock shortages;
• supplier delays;
• payment verification;
• public holidays;
• exceptional order volumes;
• technical issues;
• circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Should a significant dispatch delay occur, we will notify the Customer using the contact details provided with the Order.
5. Delivery Times
"Delivery" means the moment when the Customer, or a person designated by the Customer, takes physical possession of the Products.
Delivery times shown on the Website are estimated only.
Actual delivery times depend on numerous factors outside the Seller's direct control, including:
• destination country;
• customs procedures;
• weather conditions;
• transport disruptions;
• carrier operations;
• local holidays;
• remote area delivery schedules.
Estimated delivery periods shall not be interpreted as guaranteed delivery dates unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing.
6. Shipping Charges
Shipping costs are calculated during checkout before the Customer confirms the Order.
Shipping charges depend on factors including:
• destination country;
• parcel weight;
• parcel dimensions;
• selected delivery method;
• insurance requirements;
• applicable taxes where relevant.
The shipping charge shown during checkout forms part of the total Order price.
The Seller will not impose additional shipping charges after an Order has been accepted unless:
• the Customer requests a modification to the Order;
• the Customer changes the delivery address after checkout;
• additional services are requested by the Customer.
7. Delivery Methods
Orders are shipped using professional courier or postal services selected by the Seller or, where available, chosen by the Customer during checkout.
The Seller reserves the right to use an equivalent carrier where reasonably necessary to ensure reliable, secure and timely delivery.
For high-value shipments, the Seller may select a different courier or delivery method than originally requested where this is reasonably necessary to provide appropriate transport security. Where such a change materially affects the Order, the Customer will be informed before dispatch.
7.1 Signature on Delivery
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, all courier shipments require the signature of the recipient or another person authorised to accept delivery at the delivery address.
The signature obtained by the carrier constitutes proof that delivery has been completed.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that an authorised person is available to accept delivery.
7.2 Shipment Insurance
To protect both the Customer and the Seller, courier shipments are dispatched with transport insurance where available.
Unless otherwise stated, shipments are insured for their declared value.
At the date of publication of this Shipping Policy, shipments sent using DPD are insured up to a maximum declared value of EUR 1,500 per parcel, subject to the carrier's applicable terms and conditions.
Where the value of an Order exceeds the maximum insurance available through the selected carrier, the Seller may:
• use an alternative carrier;
• divide the shipment into multiple insured parcels after consultation with the Customer;
• agree with the Customer on another suitable delivery solution.
Carrier insurance limits and conditions may change over time. The Seller reserves the right to select the most appropriate insured shipping method available at the time of dispatch.
7.3 Delivery Addresses
Orders are delivered only to valid physical addresses.
For security, traceability and proof-of-delivery purposes, we do not deliver to:
• post office boxes (P.O. Boxes);
• parcel lockers;
• anonymous collection points; or
• addresses that cannot reasonably be verified for delivery.
Where necessary, the Seller may request confirmation of the delivery address before dispatch.
8. Tracking
Where tracking is available, shipment tracking information will be provided after dispatch.
Tracking information is supplied by the relevant carrier and is provided for informational purposes only.
Temporary delays, interruptions or inaccuracies in tracking updates do not necessarily indicate that a shipment has been lost or delayed.
Customers should contact us if tracking information indicates an issue or if a shipment has not been delivered within a reasonable period after the estimated delivery date.
9. Customs, Duties and Taxes
Orders delivered outside the European Union may be subject to customs clearance procedures, import duties, taxes, inspection fees or other governmental charges imposed by the destination country.
Unless expressly stated otherwise during checkout, all such charges are the sole responsibility of the Customer.
The Seller has no control over customs procedures or charges imposed by customs authorities.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that the Products ordered may lawfully be imported into the destination country.
Customs authorities may request additional documentation or information before releasing a shipment.
The Customer is responsible for cooperating with such requests where required.
Delays caused by customs authorities are outside the Seller's reasonable control.
9.1 Remote Area Deliveries
Some destinations may be classified by the selected carrier as remote or difficult-to-serve areas.
Deliveries to such locations may require additional transit time.
Where the Seller accepts an Order, any applicable delivery charges are displayed during checkout before the Customer confirms the Order.
The Seller will not impose additional remote-area delivery charges after the Order has been accepted solely because the carrier subsequently classifies the destination as remote.
Where delivery becomes impossible or impracticable, the Seller will contact the Customer to agree upon an appropriate alternative solution before dispatch.
10. Delivery and Inspection
Customers are encouraged to inspect the shipment promptly upon delivery.
If the parcel appears damaged, opened or otherwise compromised, the Customer should, where reasonably possible:
• inspect the shipment before accepting delivery;
• record the damage with the carrier;
• take photographs of the parcel and its contents;
• retain the original packaging;
• notify the Seller as soon as reasonably practicable.
Prompt notification assists both the Seller and the carrier in investigating transport-related incidents.
Nothing in this Shipping Policy limits or excludes any mandatory rights granted to Consumers under applicable consumer protection legislation.
11. Failed Deliveries
A delivery may fail for reasons including, but not limited to:
• an incorrect or incomplete delivery address provided by the Customer;
• the absence of the recipient at the time of delivery;
• repeated unsuccessful delivery attempts by the carrier;
• refusal of the shipment by the recipient;
• failure to complete customs clearance where required;
• restrictions imposed by local authorities; or
• other circumstances beyond the Seller's reasonable control.
Where a shipment is returned to the Seller due to a failed delivery, we will contact the Customer to discuss the available options.
Any additional shipping costs, customs charges, storage fees or other reasonable costs incurred as a result of the failed delivery may be payable by the Customer unless the failed delivery resulted from the Seller's error or mandatory consumer legislation provides otherwise.
11.1 Refused Deliveries
If the Customer refuses to accept delivery of a shipment without exercising a statutory right of withdrawal or without another lawful justification, the Customer shall be responsible for the reasonable costs incurred as a direct consequence of the refusal.
Such costs may include, where applicable:
• return shipping charges;
• customs duties or import/export charges that cannot be recovered;
• storage fees charged by the carrier;
• administrative costs directly related to the return shipment.
This provision shall not apply where:
• the Products delivered do not conform to the Contract;
• the shipment was delivered in error;
• the Customer validly exercises a statutory right of withdrawal under applicable consumer protection legislation; or
• mandatory law provides otherwise.
11.2 Unclaimed or Returned Shipments
Where a shipment is returned to the Seller because:
• it was not collected within the period specified by the carrier;
• the delivery address provided by the Customer was incorrect or incomplete;
• the Customer failed to cooperate with customs authorities;
• the Customer failed to provide information reasonably required to complete delivery; or
• delivery became impossible due to circumstances attributable to the Customer,
the Customer may be responsible for the reasonable return shipping costs, storage charges, customs-related expenses and any additional delivery costs required to resend the shipment, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
Before arranging a second shipment, the Seller will contact the Customer to confirm the delivery details and any additional costs that may apply.
12. Delivery Delays
While the Seller makes reasonable efforts to dispatch and deliver Products within the estimated timeframes, delays may occur due to circumstances beyond the Seller's reasonable control.
Examples include:
• severe weather conditions;
• natural disasters;
• strikes or industrial action;
• transport disruptions;
• customs inspections;
• pandemics or public health emergencies;
• governmental restrictions;
• cyber incidents affecting logistics providers;
• failures of transport infrastructure; or
• other force majeure events.
Where a significant delay becomes known, the Seller will make reasonable efforts to inform the Customer using the contact details provided with the Order.
Nothing in this section limits the statutory rights of Consumers under applicable law, including the right to terminate the Contract where delivery cannot be completed within the legally applicable period.
13. Force Majeure
The Seller shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations where such failure or delay results from events beyond its reasonable control.
Such events may include, without limitation:
• natural disasters;
• fire;
• flood;
• earthquakes;
• epidemics or pandemics;
• acts of government;
• armed conflict;
• terrorism;
• civil unrest;
• strikes;
• interruptions to utilities or telecommunications;
• cyberattacks affecting essential infrastructure;
• shortages of transport capacity; or
• other comparable events beyond the Seller's reasonable control.
Where a Force Majeure Event occurs, the Seller will use reasonable efforts to minimise its effects and resume normal performance as soon as reasonably practicable.
14. Risk and Transfer of Ownership
The transfer of risk and ownership is governed by the Terms and Conditions of Sale and applicable law.
For Consumers, the risk of loss of or damage to the Products passes when the Customer, or a third party indicated by the Customer (other than the carrier), acquires physical possession of the Products, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
Ownership of the Products remains with the Seller until the full purchase price and any other amounts due under the Contract have been paid in full, unless applicable law provides otherwise.
15. Lost, Damaged or Missing Parcels
If a shipment appears to have been lost, damaged during transport or delivered with missing contents, the Customer should notify the Seller as soon as reasonably practicable after becoming aware of the issue.
To facilitate the investigation, the Customer may be asked to provide:
• the Order number;
• photographs of the parcel and packaging;
• photographs of any damaged Products;
• a description of the issue;
• any documentation requested by the carrier for claims handling.
The Seller will cooperate with the relevant carrier to investigate the matter and will keep the Customer reasonably informed of the progress of the investigation.
Where the investigation confirms that the Customer is entitled to a remedy under the Contract or applicable law, the Seller will provide an appropriate remedy, which may include repair, replacement, reshipment or refund, as appropriate.
Nothing in this section limits the Customer's statutory rights.
16. Incorrect Delivery Information
The Customer is responsible for ensuring that all delivery information provided during checkout is accurate, complete and up to date.
The Seller shall not be responsible for delays, failed deliveries or additional costs arising solely from incorrect or incomplete delivery information supplied by the Customer.
If the Customer identifies an error after placing an Order, the Seller should be contacted immediately.
Where the Order has not yet been dispatched, the Seller will make reasonable efforts to update the delivery information. However, changes cannot be guaranteed once the shipment has entered the carrier's network.
17. Pre-orders and Split Shipments
17.1 Pre-orders
Certain Products may be offered for purchase before they are available for immediate dispatch.
Where a Product is identified as a pre-order item, any estimated dispatch or availability date is provided for informational purposes only and may change due to manufacturing schedules, supplier availability, transport delays or other circumstances beyond the Seller's reasonable control.
If a significant delay occurs, the Seller will inform the Customer without undue delay and, where required by applicable law, provide the Customer with the options available under the Terms and Conditions of Sale and applicable consumer protection legislation.
17.2 Partial Shipments
Where an Order contains Products with different availability dates, the Seller may propose dispatching the available Products separately.
No partial shipment will be made without first informing the Customer and obtaining the Customer's agreement.
Unless expressly agreed otherwise, the Customer will not incur additional shipping charges solely because the Seller proposes or carries out an agreed partial shipment.
17.3 Products Containing Lithium Batteries
Certain Products offered through the Website contain lithium-ion or other rechargeable batteries that are subject to international transport regulations.
Some countries or transport providers prohibit or restrict the carriage of such batteries, particularly by air.
Where applicable transport regulations prevent lawful shipment of a Product to the selected destination, the Seller reserves the right to:
• refuse or cancel the Order before dispatch;
• offer an alternative shipping method where available;
• propose an alternative Product where appropriate; or
• refund any payment received for the affected Product where shipment cannot lawfully be completed.
The Seller shall not be liable where delivery cannot be completed due solely to transport safety regulations or restrictions imposed by carriers or competent authorities.
